Vineyard Food Truck

What it is

This brand new initiative aims to develop & implement a business plan for a lunch truck that serves locally-sourced, healthy foods.  This triple-bottom line business will aim to foster economic development, offer job training & business skills to young people (16-22) in our community, provide nutrition education within our communities, and attain economic & environmental sustainability.

Why We're Doing It

In John 10:10, Jesus says that he came so that people would have "rich and satisfying lives." (NLT).   This is key to some of our biggest dreams for our church: looking for opportunities to invest our resources to live out & demonstrate this element of Jesus' mission.  That's why we talk about making our great city even better and dream about becoming one of the best neighbors that Philly's ever had.  So the Vineyard Food Truck is a practical step towards that dream.

How you can get involved

We are the beginning stages of this project, and there are many opportunities for getting involved! At this point, we anticipate the phases of this project to look as follows (though they certainly may change depending what we learn along the way):

  • Phase 1 // Research on structure, organization, business laws, etc.
  • Phase 2 // Networking and Team Building
  • Phase 3 // Business Plan
  • Phase 4 // Implementation
  • Phase 5 // Operation

If you are intersted in getting involved, please contact Becca Zinn at for more information about upcoming meetings and opportunities for involvement
